“We commend the administration of President Muhammadu Buhari on the economic recovery efforts which have evidently started to yield fruits. “Commendably, the country’s exit from recession was in tandem with the current administration’s forecast that the country will experience economic growth in 2017. “This is another demonstration that the President Buhari APC-led administration is one that keeps its promises. “APC also commends the National Assembly as it continues to work with the Executive on improving the economy and other areas of national life.” The statement further read: “APC thanks Nigerians for their patience, understanding and support for the President Buhari administration while the economy was in recession. “Although there remains much more work to be done, we assure Nigerians that the administration remains focused on its effort to sustain the economy on the path of growth. “As the President Buhari administration works assiduously to build a new solid foundation, credible image and pull the country out of the present hardships, we appeal for continued patience and the cooperation from Nigerians.” PAY ATTENTION: Install our latest app for Android, read best news on Nigeria’s #1 news app Meanwhile, NAIJ.com previously reported that Senator Ahmed Makarfi, the chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) caretaker committee, condemned the celebration of the country’s exit from recession. Avocados are packed with disease-fighting antioxidants. Find out how eating this delicious food will benefit your health.

Avocados are a superfood
Yes, avocados are relatively high in fat and calories (138 calories and 14.1g fat in half a medium-sized avocado). But they’re also one of the best foods you can eat, packed with nutrients and heart-healthy compounds. Here are five great reasons to eat them regularly.

1. Avocados are packed with carotenoids

Avocados are a great source of lutein, a carotenoid that works as an antioxidant and helps protect against eye disease. They also contain the related carotenoids zeaxanthin, alpha-carotene and beta-carotene, as well as tocopherol (vitamin E).
But avocados aren’t just a rich source of carotenoids by themselves-they also help you get more of these nutrients from other foods. Carotenoids are lipophilic (soluble in fat, not water), so eating carotenoid-packed foods like fruits and vegetables along with monounsaturated-fat-rich avocados helps your body absorb the carotenoids. An easy way to do this is to add sliced avocado to a mixed salad.

2. Avocados can help you lose weight

Half an avocado contains 3.4 grams of fibre, including soluble and insoluble, both of which your body needs to keep the digestive system running smoothly. Plus, soluble fibre slows the breakdown of carbohydrates in your body, helping you feel full for longer.
Avocados also contain oleic acid, a fat that activates the part of your brain that makes you feel full. Healthier unsaturated fats containing oleic acid have been shown to produce a greater feeling of satiety than less-healthy saturated fats and trans fats found in processed.

3. Avocados can help stabilize blood sugar

Rich, creamy, and packed with beneficial monounsaturated fat, avocado slows digestion and helps keep blood sugar from spiking after a meal. A diet high in good fats may even help reverse insulin resistance, which translates to steadier blood sugar long-term. Try putting mashed avocado on sandwiches instead of mayonnaise or on bread instead of butter. To keep what’s left over from turning brown, spritz the flesh with cooking spray or coat with lemon juice and wrap in plastic.

4. Avocados can protect your unborn baby-and your heart

One cup of avocado provides almost a quarter of your recommended daily intake of folate, a vitamin which cuts the risk of birth defects. If you’re pregnant-or planning to be-avocados will help protect your unborn baby.
A high folate intake is also associated with a lower risk of heart attacks and heart disease. Does your family have a history of heart problems, or do you have risk factors (such as being overweight or smoking) for heart disease? Avocados could help keep your heart healthy.

5. Avocados can help lower your cholesterol

As well as increasing feelings of fullness, the oleic acid in avocados can help reduce cholesterol levels. In one study, individuals eating an avocado-rich diet had a significant decrease in total cholesterol levels, including a decrease in LDL cholesterol. Their levels of HDL cholesterol (the healthy type) increased by 11 percent.
High cholesterol is one of the main risk factors for heart disease. The cholesterol-lowering properties of avocado, along with its folate content, help keep your heart healthy.

Yes, Guys they say are naturally promiscuous and an angel as a wife may still not make a man s*xually faithful to you. But I'm not talking about s*xual faithfulness but the actual act of dumping you for another lady which is a terrible slap on the ladies in such situations.

But I'm happy to let every lady reading this to know that it will be extremely impossible for any lady to snatch your man from you if you have these 6 wonderful attributes.

1. A good cook:

I can not say much about this, because I believed you've heard a lot on this. If you know how to cook your man’s favorite food and I mean you really take time out to ask him what his favorite is and you go out of your way to learn the act of preparing such food in the best way he likes for him, even when he's angry, you know how to put his favorite food on his table, my dear sister then you have secured him 50%.

2. Be his personal private LovePeddler:

Don’t be deceived, every man wants his wife to be a s*x-maniac for him in the bedroom and the more timid you are the greater the chance of losing him so give him real good in the bedroom and zip him down when he least expects it and blow that trumpet so good and make his head spin and trust me, he will run home to you everyday.

3. Financial independence:

Please if you are a “full housewife” reading this I guess its time to free yourself from perpetual insult. Get something doing no matter what and even if you are not allowed to do an office thing just try and get something doing.
Because nothing trips a man than a financially independent lady even if you don’t spend a dime on the home front, the fact that you have something doing that brings home money is good enough. And for those who play to their hubby’s gallery of sit at home order,be ready to be mocked by same man when there is a tilt in his emotional balance.

4. Humility:

Its so s*xy to have a sweet humble lady who is non abusive to her hubby and his family,a humble woman will be full of respect and adoration for her hubby and even people around her and its very difficult for any-man to do away with a humble non abusive woman.

5. S*xual decency:

I am not talking about your past but a woman who is s*xually decent with her hubby and does not give room for the hubby to point an accusing finger at her is a delight to every man.A man gets turned on even more with the mindset that he is the only one having access to that honey comb but a s*xually indecent woman is a curse to herself and the hubby.

6. Fear of GOD:

A woman who fears GOD is a delight to her entire household and she will be a strong pillar for her husband and family. Her ways will be pleasing to GOD and apparently pleasing to her man. Even, there's a saying which says" A man that love you, will surely care about your spiritual well being.
I hope this makes sense.

Of course, you know that writing more blog posts will increase your blog traffic.
If one blog post results in an average of 50 visits, then two blog posts should magically turn into 100 visits. Gbam!!
But, that sucks.
What if there was a way to increase your blog traffic without creating more content?
Rather than using four posts to reach 200 visits, what if you could get even more than 400 visits from a single post?
You can do it by better optimizing the traffic you received from each piece of content that you posted online. You have to blog smarter, and not just harder.
The good news is that you can easily do it.
Here are the 10 simple tricks that you can use to optimize traffic on your own blog. Most of them will make an instant impact on your traffic growth, so plan to implement a few as soon as you can.

1. Make Your Content More Shareable Using A Click To Tweet Plugin

Everyone has social media share buttons somewhere on their blog, but what happens if you add them in your content as well?
Click To Tweet links do just that by helping you to create tweetable quotes and comments throughout your post.
The idea is that you are not only providing readers a way to share, but actively suggesting that they do. This naturally leads to more shares and more exposure for your content.

2. Maximize The Emotional Value Of Your Headlines

A while back, we did some research on more than 1 million blog post headlines and make a huge discovery—blog posts with more emotional headlines actually result in more shares.
The concession is "Write headlines that have stronger emotional output."
There are several tools that you can use to do this. The Emotional Value Analyzer by the Advanced Marketing Institute will give you a basic rating on the emotional value of a headline.
The Blog Post Headline Analyzer will do the same, but also give you a rating on the overall quality and length of your headline. It should make it easy for you to to write awesome (and emotional) headlines every time.

3. Create Longer-Form Content

Did you know that Google gives precedence to long-form content in its search results? By long-form content, I mean posts that have a total of 2,000 words or more.
In a recent post, Neil Patel outlined Google’s trend towards long-form writing. He found that long-form content was more likely to be linked to from another site, and it was more likely to take the top spot in search results.
Not a bad deal for a few hundred (or thousand) extra words.

4. Improve Your Meta Tags And Rich Snippets

There are a ton of things you can do to your blog to make sure that your content looks as good as possible when it’s shared on social media or picked up by search engines like Google.
Most of this relies on a small bit of meta tag code that you should include in the <HEAD> of your html page. This code will provide instructions to networks like Twitter, Facebook, Google+, and Pinterest by telling them which image, title, and description to use when a post goes live.
You can even preview what your own link previews look like using this handy debug tool provided by Facebook.
If you’re using WordPress, the Yoast SEO plugin is a great way to make sure that most of it happens automatically. By making sure your content looks as good as possible when it’s shared, you will increase your blog traffic with ease.

5. Tell A Better Story

In 2014 helpdesk software maker Groove shut down their content marketing blog after seeking a solution that would bring them more traffic. Groove decided to shift their content from “generic evergreen content” to the story of their own success.
Groove relaunched their blog as a step-by-step telling of their journey from $20k in revenue per month to more than $100k.
As it turns out, the relaunch worked! In the first five weeks of the new blog, Groove gained 5000 new email subscribers instantly, and gave us all a lesson in the power of storytelling.
One way to increase your blog traffic is to actually tell your story!

6. Promote Your Content On Social Media More Than Once

One of the biggest mistakes we make as bloggers happens right after we press the “publish” button. Once a blog post goes live, too many of us only share our posts once or twice on social media—even though we are frequently producing evergreen content.
The trick here is to follow a simple pattern to promote your content on social media.
On publish – Social messages publish when your blog posts go live.
Same day – Initial social messages trickle out to your accounts throughout the next 2–3 hours.
Next day – Messages are shared again on the appropriate social channels.
Next week – Another series of messages are pre-scheduled and sent the following week.
Next month – More social messages are pre-scheduled for the following month. This is especially important for evergreen content.
Next _____ – Additional messages can optionally be scheduled for the three-month mark or beyond.
By the way… make sure you add some variety to your social content so you don’t come off as just another spammer. You can read more about this whole process here.

7. Make Your Blog Load Faster

Did you know that Google considers the speed of your website when ranking your website in search results?
Back in 2010, Google engineer Matt Cutts announced that Google is now factoring site speed into search rankings. So, it only makes sense that you would make your blog as fast as possible.
If you aren’t careful, you can easily add a bunch of crummy plugins and themes that degrade your site’s performance over time. It’s important to spend some time reclaiming that speed and improving how you rate on Google.
While it can be a bit technical, WPMU DEV has a great guide for speeding up your WordPress blog. Follow it, speed things up, live long and prosper.

8. Optimize Your Social Sharing Buttons

Do you know where the best place to put your social media buttons is?
The placement of these buttons can actually make a big impact on how many shares your posts receive. Our research has found that they seem to do best near the top left of the page, but you can use this free heat map tool from SumoMe to find out how readers interact with your pages.

9. Clean Up Your Sidebar

One of the fastest ways to make a big impact on your blog is to simply clean up your act. After a bit of time, most blog sidebars start getting pretty congested with ads, links, and other cool widgets.
But, those widgets aren’t so cool if they’re distracting your readers from what they should really be doing. Take a minute to really decide what you want your readers to be doing and remove any clutter that you can.

10. Improve Your Call To Action

One way to determine if a widget belongs on your blog is to ask yourself if it is contributing to your bottom line.
At CoSchedule, our blog is set up to lead readers to only two different calls to action. Users can either sign up for our email list or try CoSchedule. It’s that simple!
Have a  a clear call to action, and a blog layout and design that accurately leads your readers to it. This is a guaranteed way to improve your blog traffic and conversion rate.

When we create a website, one of the most common issues we must address is how to list the site in search engines like Google.

Submiting Blog's Sitemap to Google Webmasters.

Whenever I talk to newbies who are not aware of how the search engine works, they think that they need to pay Google or other search engines to list their website. This is is not true, of course.  You can show your website in a Google search for free. The only thing you need to work on is helping Google to find your blog.
I have already shared my case-study on how to index your new website in 24 hours, and in this guide I will talk extensively about submitting your site map to Google’s Search console.

Google search console (Formerly Google Webmaster Tool )

is a free tool that lets you control your website from the search engine’s perspective. I will not go into detail about GWT as I have already covered it in previous posts. In case you missed it, here is the first article to get you started:
First we need to understand what a site map is, and why submitting your sitemap to search engines is important.

What is a sitemap?

A sitemap is an XML file that contains the URLs inside your blog. This file helps crawlers to find all of the URLs of your blog.
There are many aspects of your site that a crawler will follow, such as the size of your sitemap and the number of URLs in your sitemap.  In short, a sitemap is a complete index of your blog that you want search engine bots to see.
This "how to" article on sitemaps will give you more technical and historical details.
Simply stated, a sitemap file contains all the URLs of your blog, and you submit that file to search engines to let them know about all the pages of your blog. Search engine bots follow sitemap files to crawl and index your website.
You can learn more about crawling and indexing here.
For a normal website, we use an online sitemap generator to create a sitemap file and submit it to webmaster tools offered by Google and Bing. For WordPress blogs, we use plugins that automatically keep updating our sitemap file as we publish the new post. This way, you don’t have to resubmit a new sitemap after publishing new articles.
It’s a good practice to place your sitemap file link at the footer of your website so that search engine bots can quickly discover and follow the site map file and crawl your blog more effectively.
Now that we know what a sitemap is, let’s move to the next level.

How to generate a sitemap for your WordPress website:

Sitemaps can be generated in different ways depending on the platform you are using for your website. For example, WordPress sitemaps can be easily generated using popular SEO plugin call Yoast SEO. Here is a guide for the same.
For another platform like those for static sites, there are many online tools and types of offline software which will help with sitemap generation. For the purpose of this post, I will assume you know how to generate a sitemap, and we will now learn how to submit that sitemap to Google.

Submitting sitemaps to Google Search console:

When we submit a sitemap to Google, we do so using the Search console tool. Assuming that you have already verified your site in Google search console and that you have logged in to your webmaster tool dashboard here, you have your sitemap link ready to go. If you have used an offline tool to generate your sitemap, upload it to the root of your site like this:  /sitemap.xml
Inside your Google Webmaster Tool dashboard, on the right-hand side you will see an option called “Sitemaps”. Click on “More” to see all submitted sitemaps, or you can submit a new sitemap from there.

GWT sitemap

Click on “Add/Test Sitemap” to submit your sitemap file. On the same page, you can see which sitemaps are discovered by Google or which sitemap files have been previously submitted by you or someone from your team.

Submit sitemap to Google search

Depending on what type of sitemap you have generated, you can submit it from here. If you are running a site with lots of images, I suggest you create an image sitemap. You can also create a video sitemap for your website. For a WordPress blog, you can create image sitemaps using this WordPress plugin."Google Sitemap"

Indexing in Google Console

If you are submitting a sitemap for a new blog, it might take some time for you to see the index status. With index status on the same page, you can see how many URLs are submitted via sitemap and how many links Google has indexed. If you have submitted separate sitemaps for images and videos, you will see the status for those links, too.
You can check your Website index status
Once you are finished submitting your blog sitemap to the Google search engine, I suggest you read this guide and then repeat the process with the Bing Webmaster Tool.

9 Dangerous Brain Damaging Habits You Need to Stop

It is so funny that “the one organ in our body that thinks is often the one we think less about.

The brain is an incredibly important body part, as it is one of the biggest one in the body and represents the main control center. It has multiple functions, responsibilities, and tasks, as well as lots of information stored”.

The brain is the most important organ in the body and it is high time we all start pay more attention to its health and welfare.

Below are some habits that harm the brain you might not be aware of:

Not sleeping well

Lack of sleep is an habit that significantly hurt your brain. “It affects the hippo-campus which causes a deficit that automatically leads to forgetfulness”.

Staying Alone

“Alone time can be great for thinking, reflection and mapping out your dreams and goals but when the solitude is too much it can damage the mind and body, it can typically cause brain decline, affect the quality and efficiency of sleep making it less restorative, erode arteries, create high blood pressure, undermine learning and memory and generally take a toll on health; although, most of these effects are gradual and experienced over the course of time”.

Eating junk Food

Eating too much junk food affects the part of brain that is linked to learning, memory and mental health.

Playing loud music

“Playing loud music with earphones or headphones, placing the volume of your earphone or headphone at full volume can permanently damage your hearing, it can also cause brain problems involving loss of memory or inability to remember things easily, and loss of brain tissue in your later years, this is most likely because the brain has to work so hard to understand what’s being said around you that it can hardly store what you’ve heard into your memory”.

Lack of Exercise

Because the body was made to move and the longer you remain unmoving and inactive it becomes more likely you are going to suffer from diseases like diabetes, heart diseases, stroke, dementia and high blood pressure which can all negatively affect the brain in the long run. “You don’t have to start high intensity workouts or start running marathons, just take a walk around your house more often or engage in an activity that gets you moving”.

Smoking

Apart causing lung problems, smoking can also shrinks the brain, it makes the memory worse, makes one more forgetful and leads to problems like heart disease, dementia, diabetes, stroke, high blood pressure, lung cancer etc.

Overeating

Overeating can lead to obesity which has been linked to different brain problems.

Staying in the dark

Staying indoor or in the dark for a long period, for better brain health it is important to expose yourself to natural light as often as you can as this will help prevent depression and keep your brain working well. “Staying in the dark or without natural light for prolonged periods, can slow your brain and cause a decline in the brain”.

Covering your head while sleeping

Covered your head while sleeping will reduce your intake of oxygen during the night and while sleeping, one cannot feel the light-headedness or air deprivation, it also increase your risk of inhaling excess carbon dioxide.

The Use / Impact of Technology in Education.

In the world that we currently live in, technology is a very vital factor. With each passing day a new software or gadget is being brought into the market that serves to improve our lives in one way or another and make it much easier and also to advance an already existing software or gadget. However, it is important to note that despite the fact that technology plays a big role in making our lives easier, it is not the only role it has.

Technology is increasingly growing it’s  importance in the education sector. The more technology advances, the more benefits it provides for students at every education level.

Technology in education:

Technology that is made use of in the classroom is very beneficial in helping the students understand and absorb what they are being taught. For instance, since there are a number of students who are visual learners, projection screens connected to computers could be put in classrooms to let the students see their notes as opposed to simply sitting down and listening to the instructor teach.

There is a number of very good software that can be used to supplement the class curriculum. The programs make available to students quizzes, tests, activities and study questions that could help the students continue with the learning process when they are out of the classroom.

Today, technology has been incorporated into a good number of curriculum even those that do not belong to the technology and computer classes. Students make use of computers to come up with presentations and also make use of the internet to carry out research on a variety of topics for their essays and papers.

Students also get to know how to use the technology available in the world today through the tech and computer classes. This gives the guarantee that following their graduation, the students will not have any difficulties with using technology when they are out there in the work place, which might serve to make them more competitive compared to an individual who has no access to a certain software or technology in school.

With the continuing advances in the technological world, students are getting improved access to such educational opportunities. Every time something ‘better’ and ‘new’ is brought into the market, the price of the existing technology is decreased which makes it much more accessible in the educational setting even to those schools that might not have a lot of financial resources available to them.

Technology has greatly grown to the point that it is also available today to assist those kids who are yet to begin school. There are a number of educational systems and video games for the small children that assist them in getting ready for school and in a number of situations also give them a head start on their education.

There are a number of people who are of the opinion that technology ‘spoils’ children. For instance as opposed to sitting down and getting to know how to count, they will opt to get a calculator. Despite the fact that there are people who are making these arguments, technology still remains to be a very vital component of the society we live in today. By introducing it into our schools and classrooms, we will ensure that the students are equipped with much better tools and knowledge to make their transition from school to the work place a very easy one.

We need to face the truth, technology is the ‘in thing’ in the world today and it has become necessary in each and every aspect of our lives and education has without doubt not been left behind. It is very useful in providing more knowledge to our students and also on making them competitive in the job market.

Positive Effects of Technology in Our Lives.

Technology has both negative and positive effects on our lives and society.
In this article, we’ll talk about the positive effects of technology.

Technology is very important in humankind’s growth because at any stage of its development technology has made life easier and has opened several doors of opportunities for us that were unthinkable before.

Though technology can be a double-edged sword it cannot be denied that technology has several positive effects in different aspects of our lives. Here’s a look at 5 areas that technology left an indelible mark on:

1. Communication

Starting from the toy string telephone to the smart phones of today technology has definitely made keeping in touch a lot easier. Mobile phones have become essential because you can now call anyone at anytime, anywhere. In fact even outer space is not a hindrance for speaking with loved ones or with anyone over the phone.  Meanwhile, even if in all probability nothing will really prepare us if nature truly wrecks havoc but with our more modern means of communication technology has given us a measure of a chance of survival in case of natural disasters.

2. Trade and Industry

If there is one area in our lives where the impact of technology is so apparent it could be no other than in the business sector. Business transactions are so much faster these days that money change hands albeit electronically by the nanosecond. What is more exciting is that these business acquisitions and gains are possible even when the buyer and the seller are at the opposite parts of the world. Moreover, calculations today are more accurate. This is certainly very helpful for every entrepreneur when it comes to making decisions. Technology has also made products more available to consumers too. This means big businesses are unable to strongly monopolize the industry since there are other companies that can offer a cheaper alternative. The power to choose should always be at the hands of the consumer.

3. Education

Several studies have shown that students who have better access with technology have better chances of learning and doing well at school than those without. It cannot be denied that the internet is invaluable when it comes to research and supplemental studies for students of all levels. Gadgets that can connect to the internet make access to educational materials more convenient. With the help of technology students have all the learning resources at the tip of their fingertips. While actual books have their own charm it cannot be argued that internet-ready mobile devices make studying more convenient for students than if they were still to rely on traditional books.
Thus technology makes impact in education a lot.

4. Medicine

Another very positive effect that technology has given mankind is in health care. State of the art hospitals are more organized and generally more efficient in saving people’s lives because their medical professional’s skill and dedication are paired with the latest technology that makes for better treatment.

5. The family

Though a real hug and kiss is better than a virtual one technology still brings families closer because in the pursuit of realizing our dreams no matter where it takes us technology enables us to go back to our roots and be connected to what is really important – our family.

Smartphone Enlisted in Childhood Cancer Fight.

Scientists are calling on Android phone owners to donate some of their processing power to help in the fight against childhood cancers.

The spare computing power of Android devices and computers can be utilised to work out which compounds can best fight cancer cells.

The work is part of a wider citizen science project, set up by IBM.

In order to help, users need to download an app.
The World Community Grid was set up by IBM in 2004, and since then more than 700,000 volunteers have helped researchers process complex computations, including ones to better understand Ebola, Zika, tuberculosis and HIV Aids.

Initially it utilised the processing power of computers but a few years ago added an Android app to its arsenal.

Now it is working with the Smash Childhood Cancer project to help find cures for six types of childhood cancer, including brain tumours, cancer of the liver and bone cancer.

"The app only runs when you have 90% charge and it waits until you are connected to wi-fi so it does not use up data. It has been designed to stay out of the way and be non-intrusive," said Juan Hindo, program manager of IBM Corporate Citizenship.

She explained that researchers looking for the best cures for a range of childhood cancers needed to run simulation tools to predict how a compound would perform to prevent disease.

Virtual super-computer

"You need a lot of computer power to do this and researchers may only be able to access a supercomputer at certain times and, to test each one, they need to run millions of simulations," said Ms Hindo.

Conducting research on this scale in a laboratory is nearly impossible because of the amount of time and expense involved.

"When you have spare computing power the app requests one of the calculations and if the person, for instance, starts to watch a video, it will pause. When it is done, it sends it back to the community grid," she said.
Ms Hindo estimates that, on average the system performs between one to two million calculations each day.

The system has previously been used to pinpoint the compounds that cause neuroblastoma, one of the most prevalent childhood cancers - 200,000 volunteers contributed to that experiment, which helped identify several potential treatments.

"For researchers, it gives them access to a virtual super-computer which allows them to think big, and for volunteers it invites the general public to play a role in scientific discovery," said Ms Hindo.

The system is currently not available for iOS, due to developer rules that govern how apps run on the Apple platform.

It is free for scientists to use but they must make the results publicly available for other researchers to access and use.

Google Captcha now use invisible web security form

Website security checks that challenge people to prove they are human are likely to "disappear" in favour of a new system developed by Google.

Captcha checks typically ask people to complete a puzzle that a computer would struggle to complete correctly.

They are designed to stop automated bots accessing and using websites.

Google's new system tracks how a person interacts with a website to prove they are real, so the puzzles are no longer necessary for most people.

Captcha checks are often deployed by concert ticket websites to stop people setting up automated bots to buy all the best tickets. They also appear when somebody is trying to log in to a website with the wrong password, to spot automated attempts.

The puzzles present challenges that people find simple but computers can find more difficult, such as:

1. Identifying photographs of dogs in a gallery of animal pictures.

2. Typing numbers from a photograph of a road sign into a box.

3. Listening to somebody reading out numbers over music and typing the numbers into a box.

The puzzles also benefit companies such as Google by helping train artificial intelligence algorithms. For example, if Google's AI can not recognise a house number in a photograph taken by a Street view car, it may add the photo to its Captcha system to get human input.

However, genuine users can find the interruption by puzzles a nuisance.

Google's reCaptcha system has already simplified the process by asking users to tick a check box on the website they are using. The box monitors how each person has interacted with it, to separate natural human clicks from bots.

For example, an automated script might take just a second to fill in a form on a website, and may not move the mouse at all during the process.

Google's latest development removes the check box as well, and instead analyses how people have interacted with other elements on a website such as the "submit form" button.

However, in some cases "suspicious" activity will still trigger a puzzle.

5 ways to prevent your mobile phone from phishing/scam

If you’re reading a blog post about mobile phishing, there’s a pretty good chance you’ll never be phished.

If you’re aware that online criminals are always trying to get you to give away your passwords, security data and credit card numbers, you’re probably already careful about where you enter your private information on the Internet. And you check out articles like this to find out if criminals have any new tricks up their sleeves.
And do online criminals have new tricks up their sleeves? The answer to that question, unfortunately, is almost always yes.
There’s always a new way to scam you out of your data. Most importantly, you need to realize phishing scams are no longer restricted to your PC. In our mobile, connected world, you need to check twice or thrice when you enter your private information—whether you are on your PC, an ATM or your phone.

F-Secure Labs reports that users are increasingly likely to be phished using methods that involve their phones. The odd rendering of mobile web pages and the use of SMS to send one-time passwords are powerful new lures for the phishers of the world.   So even if you are savvy enough to avoid phishing attacks on your PC, you need to be as aware when you are on your phone.
Here’s what you need to know to keep your data to yourself.

1. Always check the URL of the site you are on before you click submit

You should always check the URL of any web page you are on whether you are browsing on your phone or your PC. It’s easy to replicate the look of a site. Copying the site’s URL is more complicated. You’re looking for two things in the URL. First of all, are you really on the site you intend to be on? Forget all the stuff that comes after “.com”, you’re just making sure that you are really on Facebook.com or Amazon.com. Second, you want to make sure you see the “s” in “https”. This is especially important when you are using your phone (or PC) on an unsecured wireless network.

2. If you ever think, “Why are they asking for that?” close your browser.

F-Secure Labs recently analyzed an man-in-the-mobile (mitmo) trojan attack that created a fake bank login page. The page asked for the customer’s mobile number so that one-time passwords could be sent through SMS as a security precaution. The page also asked for the phone’s international mobile equipment identity (IMEI), which was then used by the trojan to forge a security certificate and infect your phone. The user gave the criminals critical information and made life easier for the scammers. Anytime you’re filling out a form and wonder, “Why do they need that?” stop the transaction and contact the institution directly.

3. Use only one credit card for all of your online purchases

In some countries, using a credit card limits your fraud liability, making credit cards a safer choice than ATM cards. Regardless if this is true for you, a smart strategy is to use the same credit card for all your online purchases and check that account weekly. The sooner you spot a fraud, the less damage you are likely to incur.

4. If you’re going to make transactions on your phone, make sure it’s protected.

Our handheld mobile devices are as powerful as PCs, and they need to be protected like PCs. That means you need to keep your system and applications updated. F-Secure Mobile Security‘s Browsing Protection protects users against phishing scam. Your phone has access to your email and other crucial accounts, so it’s smart to secure it the way you secure your PC.

5. When in doubt, go in the bank.

The clock is always ticking. You’re late; you want to save some time. That’s when your mobile phone makes life easier. However, for your most crucial interactions, such as large transfers, you best choice is to go into the branch itself. That way you don’t have to worry about phishing or mobile trojans. You may have to wait in line, but a little wait in line is nothing compared to being phished.
